Welcome to Shukokai Karate Association.

Established in 2015, training out of Murray Bridge and Mypolonga Dojos in the Murraylands area of South Australia, where we teach students from 4 years of age upward. You are never too old to start.

Karate is well known as a form of self-defence, it can also help with self-confidence, self-discipline and fitness.

Shukokai Karate Association is affiliated with Shitoryu Shukokai Osita-ha Karatedo, under the teachings of Soke & President, HANSHI 10th Dan Masataka Ohshita.

We are also members of Karate Australia and Karate SA, meaning we are recognised by both National and State Governing bodies for karate in Australia.

Our Chief Instructor, David Garner Sensei, 3rd Dan has been training in Shukokai Karate for over 35 years, beginning as a child in the United Kingdom. Our teachings not only work with the traditional aspects of karate, but also how to utilise the techniques for real life self defence.

Shukokai Karate Association is a recognised Sports Voucher provider and registered with Adelaide Children’s University.
